Returns & Exchanges

Laptop Island does not accept returns or exchanges for brand-new or pre-owned laptops due to a change of mind. However, we provide a warranty for all eligible products to ensure their functionality.

• Brand-New Laptops: Covered under manufacturer’s warranty, typically 1-2 years, as specified on the invoice.
• Pre-Owned Laptops: Covered under a 6-month hardware warranty, with a 1-month warranty for batteries and power adapters.

Depending on the issue, if a laptop develops a defect within its warranty period, customers can bring it in for repair or replacement.

Warranty-Based Returns

We only accept returns under the following conditions:

1. Defective Pre-Owned Laptops:
• If a pre-owned laptop develops a defect within 7 business days of purchase, customers can return it for inspection and repair.
• If the issue is irreparable, we may offer a replacement unit of equivalent value.
2. Brand-New Laptops:
• Issues with brand-new laptops are handled directly under the manufacturer’s warranty. We facilitate the claim process but do not offer direct returns or refunds.
3. Defective Peripherals & Accessories:
• Items such as mice, keyboards, external hard drives, adapters, and cables have warranty periods specified on the invoice.
• If a manufacturing defect is found within the warranty period, we will provide a replacement or repair.
• Physical damage, improper use, or liquid damage voids the warranty.

Non-Returnable & Non-Refundable Items

The following products cannot be returned or refunded:
• Brand-new laptops (unless covered under manufacturer warranty)
• Pre-owned laptops, except for defects within the warranty period
• Consumables like printer ink, toner, and batteries beyond the limited warranty
• Software-related issues, including malware, viruses, or operating system errors
• Items that have been physically damaged, modified, or show signs of misuse

How to Request a Warranty Claim

If you experience an issue with your product, please follow these steps:

1. Contact Us within the eligible warranty period:

• Provide your invoice number and a description of the issue.
2. Bring or Ship the Item to our service center for inspection.
3. Our technicians will diagnose the problem within 7 business days and determine if the item qualifies for repair, replacement, or manufacturer claim.
4. Customers will be notified once the repair or replacement process is completed.

Return Shipping

• Customers are responsible for shipping costs when returning a product unless the return is due to an incorrect item shipped.
• If the defect qualifies under warranty, we will cover the return shipping for replacements.

Refunds

• If we are unable to repair or provide a replacement within the timeframe mentioned below, we may provide a refund.
• The refunded amount will exclude any shipping charges incurred during the original transaction.
• The refund will only be issued to the original method of payment.

Processing Time

• Warranty claims and repairs are typically processed within 7 business days but may take up to 30 business days for complex repairs and refunds.
